Specialism In Business & Enterprise

The area in which Eston Park is situated has been traditionally dependent on large industry, steel and chemical, since the days of the Eston iron mines. It has had very few examples of small and medium enterprises and therefore, few role models of this type for its young people to follow. The school serves an area within Redcar & Cleveland which has high levels of social deprivation.
It is our belief that by specialising in Business & Enterprise, Eston Park School can make a significant difference.

We intend to do this by developing our position as a centre of excellence and expertise for Enterprise in education. We believe that through the experience of Enterprise our pupils will develop skills which are highly prized in the world of work and which prepare them for life; a can-do attitude and a sure and certain knowledge that, with this attitude and hard work anything is possible. Enabling them to break the traditional cycle of employment, open up their horizons and release the potential which they demonstrate so often in school. 

We will use our Business & Enterprise specialist school status to ensure that Enterprise underpins every aspect of school life. Pupils will; become more enterprising learners, become more involved in their own education, accept a greater responsibility for what they do and how they do it and see their time at Eston Park as the starting point for a lifetime of continuing education.
