Technology Department

The Technology Department's courses offer a broad view of how technology is used in the world around us and challenges pupils to develop their own skills and ideas within its safe, caring and supportive environment.

All pupils in both Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four have the opportunity to experience a range of 'Technological Activities'. During their time spent with the department pupils can develop their own individual skills as well as solve all kinds of design problems in a practical way by undertaking a variety of design & make projects. Key Stage 3 Design and Technology comprises Resistant Materials, Food, Textiles and graphic products.

Using a variety of materials, processes and techniques helps pupils gain an understanding of the technological world in which they live.

All pupils have access to excellent high quality information technology (I.C.T.) facilities which are used widely within the Technology department to enhance course content delivery and pupils.
